Happy Birthday Bumpkins!

Bumpkin's is 4!

She asked for a Princess Cake....
So I attempted to make a cake in
a bowl. It didn't cook in the allotted time...
So DM made a pink bundt cake.

Bumpkins and I frosted it with Pink frosting
and put pink sprinkles on it.
then I left for work.
Bumpkins put her finger in the frosting
many times.

Now how to stand the Barbie up...
ah ha a trifle bowl.
(first time we have used the bowl)

Bumpkins loved her new Hello Kitty Toothbrush,
Barbie and Barbie puzzle.

(now to find stuff for Princess's bday).
DH and Bumpkins sledding on Sunday,

the best way to come up the hill is to have
Daddy pull you.
(they are sledding in the gravel pit
right next to the house).
and this was day 2 of sledding.

Knitting: started another scarf w/chenille hope to have it done by Friday. It is already 15" and it needs to be 50". Items finished but not posted on here are a market bag (used i-cord and 3 strands of acrylic held together. Also am in the process of making a patronus (only needs a face- watch for it over in Ravelry).

well that is all folks.... have a good day.

Sunday Quotes

" I don’t have pet peeves,
I have whole kennels of irritation."
Whoopi Goldberg

a washcloth...
and if you flip your computer screen upside down
you can see the M for Scorpio.
this was an assignment over in the House cup.

This is the cake that DH and Bumpkins made.
it was yummy!

knitting: am working on another House Cup Assignment- one is for charms. And the other is for Transfiguration. The transfiguration will require it's very own blog spot. Will say that steeking and felting were involved.

Today was a low key kind of day.

Now to answer some questions. No we don't have an electric car. Up here and in the Northern Climes of Canada, we plug our cars in to prevent them from freezing up. Some people have block heaters that circulates the water around the engine and others have oil pan heaters which heat up the oil. Further North the cars are left running 24 hrs a day- to prevent them from freezing completely. Thankfully I have never lived where it has been that cold, last winter I guess the tires froze on some cars. And that made some interesting driving- the tires had big old flat spots until they were unthawed. Hope that this clears up some misunderstandings.
